Dear Crimson Regiment,
With today being the first of April, we are officially in the same month that we start marching band rehearsals! Our show music is coming along nicely, and we are really looking forward to this season being the best yet. Please see the bullet points below:
Parent Volunteers needed:
Whether you were able to attend the volunteer meeting a few weeks ago or not, we can use your help! Right now we are looking for volunteers for the following committees: Prop Building/Design, Food Committee, Uniform fitting/ironing, Uniform Alterations, Pit Crew, Jazz Band Dinner Dance, Fundraising, and Region Band. If you are interested in joining one of those committees, please email Charlotte Ducos at cdducos@gmail.com. If you are able to help with region band on April 15, you can sign up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0E44A9AD28A75-region
4th Term Grades:
It is CRUCIAL that students who want to be in marching band keep their grades up this term. Students must meet the minimum academic requirements during 4th term of this year in order to participate in the summer and fall. Students must maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA and have no more than one F at the end of the term. Students, begin tending to your grades NOW. Please do not let them slide and have to make things up later.
Marching Band Instrument check-out:
We will start checking out instruments for marching band after spring break (for those who don't still have theirs from last year). School-provided wind instruments are: Bass Clarinet, Mellophone, Baritone, and Sousaphone.
Reminders from previous emails:
- Please send in summer absences for approval if you know about them!
- Fee payment is available on myschoolfees.com. You pay pay all of the fees now, spread them out over the next several months, or pay all fees later. The deadline is June 11.
- View the contract for the summer date changes (and the up-to-date calendar).
- Physicals can be taken care of any time between now and June 11. See previous emails for the UHSAA Physical Form or request one from Mr. Hall. Those will be submitted through RMA after June 1, so hang on to them!
-
